Being chartered officially as on 1st Januray,2024, Kiwanis club of Dharan organised its 1st programme as on of 20th January, 2024 ,exactly 19 days after its charter. Kiwanis Club of Dharan organised ” School Adoption & School Bag Distribution Programme” where a basic school called Udaya Adharbhut Bidhyala, Chindedadha , Dharan -20 lying in the outskirts of the city of Dharan imparting education to 20 children from age group 3 to 10 who all come from underpriviledged families where even possessing a school bag is a pride for them. We the members distributed 20 school bags to 20 children on that very special day which fell as the birthday of our 1st President, Mr.Mahesh Shrestha, being the sponsor for the event.We have officially announced the adoption of the school for 2 consecutive years in the first phase.Once things are streamlined we may extend our years of adoption. Our joy knew no bounds on seeing the smiles on the faces of the children.We will shortly be renovating the toilet and the bathrooms as our 2nd programme in context to the adoption of the school.
